Integrating Carbon Black and IBM BigFix
Carbon Black, the leader in Next-Generation Endpoint Security (NGES), and IBM Security have entered into a security partnership designed to provide businesses with solutions that deliver a more simplified and streamlined way to protect against, accurately respond to, and manage cyber attacks. The first of its type, the partnership will deliver deep technical integration of Carbon Black’s next-generation endpoint security solution into IBM’s suite of security product offerings and service solutions.
Integration Features
The integration between IBM and Carbon Black allows organizations to detect, contain, investigate, and remediate security threats and attacks on endpoints across the enterprise. For integration details, please visit the IBM developerWorks wiki.
As part of the integration, BigFix and Carbon Black customers can leverage Fixlets to more easily deploy, monitor, and manage Carbon Black agents via BigFix. This will help joint customers facilitate better system administration and lifecycle management.
By leveraging this content, joint customers will be able to:
- Deploy Carbon Black Agents (CbEP-Windows, CbER- Windows, Linux)
- Identify Machines Lacking Carbon Black Agents
- Check Current Agent Status and Configuration
- Create Deployment Reports and Dashboards in IBM BigFix
- Enforce Agent State On and Off-Networks
- Agent Debug & Diagnostic Health Data for Rapid Troubleshooting
- Uninstall Agent (CbER)
